National Tourism Data Service Centre

The largest and most comprehensive development in Hungary’s tourism sector to date is the National Tourism Data Service Centre (NTAK), which began operating in 2019. The digital platform, operating under the supervision of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, enables real-time visibility of anonymized traffic statistical data from all accommodation providers in the country. Data arriving directly through property management software is used to prepare analyses that support data-driven decision-making in the tourism profession. NTAK also plays a significant role in whitening the tourism sector, as territorially competent municipalities and the tax authority also gain access to the data sets relevant to them.
